South Beach Diet but never quite understood what it is. It’s tagline of being “neither low fat nor
low carb” does not reveal much either. In fact, it seems like an opposite to most diets people follow. This diet however, is a wonderful combination of dieting, i.e. eating in moderation and eating the right kind of food. The
diet plan is simple and is divided into three phases. Each phase has a certain role to play in conditioning the body and if carried out perfectly, can dramatically alter the way you look and eat. The
South Beach Diet makes sure it does not starve the individuals who are following it, but rather enforces a strict regime under which the people can reduce their bad eating habits and learn to cultivate the new ones. The best part is, you never need to be worried about whether you ate too much fat or carbs in a meal, because you will know better. This is the diet all the A-List stars follow. Add a little exercise to this and you could have the body you always dreamed of. And you will never give up on the
South Beach Diet because it is so easy to follow.
How does it work? The
South Beach Diet has been structured using three main phases. Each phase works to make sure the body does not over indulge or starve itself. The basic idea is to remove cravings of any sort and change the mindset of an individual towards the way they eat. Phase I is the hardest, yet most effective if carried out well. It is a 14 day regime, wherein individuals can only eat specified foods such as nuts, cheese, eggs and some meat which is high in protein. The idea is to remove any craving for fatty or high carb foods. To prevent this from failing, individuals must eat small snacks in between their three main meals. Now, we start Phase II which is not as strict as Phase I. Here, the dieter is asked to introduce dairy and whole grain breads in their diet once again, but go slow on them. At this point, processed goods and synthetic food is still kept away so that the body adjusts to not eating them. Phase III introduces some small portions of bread, pasta and cereals back into the diet so that the body can process them faster and better. Phase III of the
South Beach Diet hopes to reduce any future dependency on excess
carbohydrates in the body.
Does the South Beach Diet work? This
diet plan actually works, as proven by clinical trials conducted across the country. The
South Beach Diet is an excellent fitness regime that works best with some form of mild exercise everyday. The great thing about the diet is that it does not stress on completely cutting tasty and fatty food out of your system. It merely evolves the body to crave less of these foods and metabolise them as fast as possible when eaten in moderate quantities. By allowing the individual to snack, eat out in restaurants and maintain
carbohydrates in the diet, it does let the person feel the absence of good food. It merely enforces an opinion regarding eating healthier and natural food rather than processed foods. The
South Beach Diet has gained credibility all over the country, with many people trying it and losing weight within a month. All the movie stars are crazy over it and most fitness instructors will swear by it for their body. It introduces balance and steady
weight loss help over a period of time to the body, which is long lasting as compared to crash diets. It is a great way to permanently lose weight for a big occasion and control a large appetite as well.
